No Time For Sleeping On Your Brisbane Holiday

Brisbane is proud of its nightclub scene. Most clubs are open Thursday to Sunday nights, are adamant about ID and charge between $7 and $25 cover. The alternative scene is centered on the Valley and attracts a mixed straight and gay crowd.

Family: On McLachlan Street, Fortitude Valley, is home to one of Brisbane's best nightclubs. Family is a four level nightclub that thrills dance fans with two dance floors, four bars, four outstanding themed booths and top of the line sound system. Many elite DJs from around the world has visited this nightclub, including the Stafford Brothers and Baby Gee.

Monastery: If you head to Ann Street, in Fortitude Valley, you can visit the newly refurbished Monastery nightclub. Inside it has an iconic plush design, Gothic lighting, and articulate soundscapes. It truly is like a Monastery once you step inside!

Fringe Bar: Also located on Ann Street is a 70's decor bar and nightclub. Thursday nights are the popular choice for the younger crowds as they have live local bands play from 8pm-10pm and then the DJ spins some funk house and electro until the early hours. If you are looking for more of the Pops ear music then you would be wise to visit Fringe Bar on any other night, except Thursday.

Uber, Boundary Street, WestEnd: This is Brisbane's latest club.Uber is cool indeed and has very stylish decor and patrons to match. It is a bit over the top decadent like an old style boutique hotel with brushed steel and polished dark wood. The music varies but weekends are dedicated to pure main room House music. The best thing about the plush cocktail bar is the balcony as it is perched in prime viewing position over the comings and goings of the heart of the West End.

Beat MegaClub, Ann Street, and Fortitude Valley: This club has five dance floors, six bars and hardcore techno music making it the perfect place for dance fans. It is very popular with gay and lesbian crowd and has regular drag performances but Beat is welcoming to all.
